About Between Worlds Science Fiction

Between Worlds is the corner of the internet where I let my stories wander out into the open. Here, I share original fiction, excerpts, half-built worlds, strange ideas, and the occasional scene that refuses to leave me alone.

I’m drawn to characters who are never quite standing in only one place. They live somewhere between past and future, faith and doubt, memory and mystery, the world as it is and the world that might be waiting just beyond it.

That is what I love about science fiction. It can carry us across galaxies, through time, or straight into some impossible machine, and somehow still bring us back to grief, hope, identity, love, and the stubborn question of what it means to be human when certainty begins to come apart.
Welcome to Between Worlds. Things may get a little strange here. That is usually where the good stuff begins.
About the Author
Jeremy L. Evans is a neurodivergent author whose speculative fiction explores time, memory, faith, identity, and the fragile boundaries between worlds. Drawing from lived experience and a contemplative view of the human condition, he writes character-driven stories about outsiders navigating loss, uncertainty, and transformation.

His work brings a distinct and often underrepresented neurodivergent perspective to science fiction, while asking deeply human questions about who we are, what we believe, and what remains when reality begins to shift. He is also the author of several books on recovery and contemplative spirituality. His debut full-length novel, Ripples in Time, is forthcoming.
